vol 1 review: while dragged down by long runtimes and two unnecessary, far less interesting storylines - both the results of having too many characters all split up - this first part is still a brilliant continuation of the show mostly thanks to the excellent performances, characters, directing, horror and eleven and hawkins' storylines. i'm honestly unsure as to how i still really love the season even with its various issues but i really look forward to volume 2. Episodes 4 and 7 are shining examples of why this season is still so good even with the flaws. one issue that simply isn't okay though is the lack of erica screentime.. that's nasty
