You know those few "gaping holes" I brought up in my Season 2 review? Well those few turned into a lot by Season 3, turning out a pretty incoherent and lukewarm season. Huge downgrade from the prior two, and it really disappoints me, because this season could've been terrific.
Flashpoint was never used to its greatest effect, the character drama is dull, and Savitar could've been the best villain in the show, and instead he's a confusing and middling villain who makes less and less sense the more you think about it.
The finale really seals the deal for this season. It's half fantastic, half awful and the entire storyline just comes crashing down. The season is mainly only saved from being truly bad by having some solid episodes throughout and a lot of good ideas.
A true shame. This really could've been the best season.
