Really entertaining and good to be back in Westeros but it’s quite weak in comparison to GOT season 1. The Fire & Blood characters are blank slates, so the absence of the GRRM characterisation that we get in the ASOIAF series is really felt here. Most of the characters are very simple, especially Daemon, who really is nothing more than the show’s stereotypical bad-boy. Also I know it was filmed during the pandemic, but it seriously suffers from a lack of real locations. The sets are all very impressive, but I miss the outdoor locations in Croatia that made Kings Landing feel so real!! Costumes were also a lot weaker than their GOT counterparts. Still a fun watch though, even with a weak script.
