9/10. Instant favourite. The most surprising thing about this show for me was how god damn good the pacing is. This is a twenty-two episode season which only loses momentum maybe a couple of times and even then, you're still having fun. Do you know how hard that is to pull off? Kristen Bell is a superstar, this role just comes so naturally to her. Veronica is so fucking funny, she is constantly in everyone's business, she has history with 90% of the student population so as a fellow messy individual, I feel seen. Lots of other standouts, Keith, Lilly, Wallace, Logan, Weevil, to name a few. I've mentioned it before but god I love the relationships in this show. You can feel exactly what Lilly's friendship meant to Veronica. Wallace and Veronica's friendship is so authentic and funny. Everything feels really lived in. You can tell the actors were having fun with some of this dialogue. I love how this season was shot, how it was lit, the weird colour grading choices. Couple of complaints here and there but seriously, a 22 episode season of mostly consistent quality? I had to give them their 10s on that one.
