My first impression was that it gave me Twin Peaks vibes with its healthy dose of weirdness, mystery, and small-town drama, which I absolutely eat up. As the show went on, it became more and more complex and idk how to describe it, but everything fit together so well so I never felt overwhelmed and I was engaged the whole time. In fact, I guessed a few things correctly but it didn't ruin my enjoyment at all. It took me a while to get everyone's names and faces straight, but luckily there's a reddit post out there with character sheets for each episode so I could learn who's who. That being said, the casting was spot on! Still not over the fact that Ulrich looks so much like Mads Mikkelsen, and his brother and son are MADS and MIKKEL, that can't be a coincidence 😭 This was also the wrong show to watch to get my mind off AoT because I couldn't help but think of Eren with all the talk about free will and determinism. I love the kind of discussion these ideas bring up, and I can't wait to see them explored further since these ideas are very much present throughout the whole show. Anyways, I can tell this may be a new favorite as long as future seasons keep it up. From the season finale, it looks like we're in for a ride, so gonna watch more asap 😆 VERY MINOR SPOILER . . . . . . . . . . My mom walked in on [spoiler] bashing in [spoiler]'s head and that was fun to explain 😐
