Season 2 of OPM is unfortunately a not-insignificant step down from Season 1, although it’s not terrible at all. For starters, the animation is notably poorer. Fight scenes are shorter and less expressive, and character motion is less fluid. However, it’s still fine, so I can excuse it. It also suffers from sidelining Saitama to the side for too long. While I greatly enjoy many of the new characters and concepts introduced (King, the Monster Association, Garou, etc.), it all means that the titular OPM has little screen time. Plus, the final battle is much more anticlimactic than Season 1’s. Hopefully Season 3 returns to a stronger level of quality.
