One of the best episodes by far. The scene where rya shows Danny the tape was so intense and Tom’s acting when he gets nervous before seeing it made me feel his anxiety. The transition from Jack to yitsak to Mike was insane. The visuals of the alter egos fighting with each other was terrific storytelling as there seemed to be a hierarchy between them. I was kinda shocked that Johnny and Mike were alters too but I suspected the others. Ariana was an alter that dealt with his traumas of sexual abuse. She told him something about how her brother was sexually assaulted by her dad but that she was also raped. But it was really just Danny using this character to deal with that trauma. When Ariana took over and kissed Annabelle, it was Danny’s more confident alter because he is afraid to love and be intimate. It explains why Ariana is the one who encourages him to shoot the step father and how he thought the step father abused her as well. The undesirables were represented as dead alter egos who no longer served purpose or meaning for Danny. I think it was interesting they killed yitsak first and maybe it’s because rya called him out for not having the same body and that he would be eaten alive in jail. The scene where Jack pretends to be Danny and there is a mix of their personalities was mind blowing to me. Tom’s acting was out of this world next level going back and forth between a fake American and British accent. He’s the real deal. I still think Adam was one of his alters too but not sure. I think the girl that the mom was referring to was Annabelle. And don’t even get me started on the last scene. Gut wrenching. Tom acts so well with his eyes. His alters were fighting with him to get rid of rya but Danny was able to ask for help. But Tom really portrayed Danny feeling stuck or trapped and scared of his alter egos and scared to let them down because he feels he can’t survive without them. Ariana being the one to wake Danny up and hug him and support him was so important because that’s him dealing and coping with the trauma.
