............ I just finished Twin Peaks The Return. I am just so fucking confused, like is this the most brilliant thing ever created or did David Lynch and Mark Frost just fooled the shit out of me? Where do I even begin? Like I'm so mixed on this. Some parts where some of the best and brilliant shit I have ever seen, and some I wanted to jump of the tallest cliff at Grand Canion. Well, let's start at episode 1 of all places.... It had been a while since I indured the trauma that was Fire Walk With Me and I was really excited to watch this, I had only heard good things. I start it and I really like the first episode, sure it's a different tone but that was expected since FWWM was really different from the original run. But anyways Matthew Lillard! I start to watch more... episode 2 is also good but in episode 3 I'm noticing something, the effects are pretty goofy? Like Twin Peaks has always had pretty goofy effects but this is a bit to much? Well I continue watching. Now it's starting to get weird, I'm not really liking it? Well there are parts I really like but that's often in the start of the episode, it kinda just goes down. I'm not feeling anything? That's how it goes, some really good parts but mostly I don't get what everyone is loving here. Episode 8... Now this is interesting, this is the episode that people just LOVE and I mean LOVE. And I gotta say that the first half is really good! But almost exactly in the middle I just start to not feel it, it's a terrible feeling. That's kinda how it goes. I don't hate them, I like almost all the episodes but there's things there I can't fucking stand (Dougie) Until.. Episode 16.. This episode had almost nothing I didn't like, it was like the first seasons! It was incredible! Episode fucking 17! I watched this today and I just gotta say that this is easily the best episode of the Return, It just builds to a twist that changes the whole of Twin Peaks, pls stay out of spoilers, u don't wanna get this spoiled. Only problem I had with this episode was the effects wich I will get to. Episode 18... So, the episode that wrapped up Twin Peaks and possibly David Lynch's carrier.... It's a weird way to end it. I have no idea what happens but the last scene is something I will never forget. FUCKING SCARY I will now talk a bit about the characters (This will include spoilers so just skip to the last part) Dougie Jones... Sorry not sorry I hated him xD He just got on my nerves a little to much, but since Cooper got back I feel better. I guess BOB is a character to? Yeah, I liked him a bit. The whole FBI team was kinda fun to follow for the most part, but in one episode where they talk about The Blue Rose and everything kinda turned blue was epic! Most of the old characters are back and nearly all where played by the same actor wich was great! I guess Michael Ontkean didn't wanna return and they just put Harry's brother there instead and I thought it worked! But the best character in this is my man Bobby who was really redeemed from the last projects! There are also many new characters wich are played by VERY big names, Michael Cera, Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Laura Dern, Matthew Lillard, Amanda Seyfried, Caleb Landry Jones and many more! I know that I need more time to think about this and after I rewatch I think the rating might go up. I also just need Twin Peaks to sink in. To qoute Karsten Runquist: As soon as the credits roled the seed that is Twin Peaks gentle planted itself somewhere in my brain and now it's time to watch it grow.
