Solid follow-up to Sorry to Bother You. I am a fan of Boots Riley, he's definitely got some wild ambition and is a natural storyteller, and I think having the space of a 7 episode limited series as opposed to only a 2 hour movie gives him more room to cook. That being said, there still feels like a lot of stuff that's just thrown in here that isn't really properly explained. Like, the whole shrinking people, I legitimately didn't realize he'd already set that up. And the ending, with the pus leaking out of Cootie, didn't really understand that either. Tone-wise, it's still a bit much, with some absolutely wild and crazy storytelling choices that feel just like inserts rather than pushing the story forward. But I did enjoy it. Not one of my favorites of the year, but a solid watch. Shoutouts to Jerome, Brett Gray, Walton Goggins & Mike Epps.
