A great anime that starts out bleak, quickly transitions to being very fun with some tender moments while developing its characters, and then becomes a slaughterfest by the end in terms of emotion. However, despite these tonal shifts, it actually balances them out really well. For the most part, it really is a high school drama/comedy where the students try killing the teacher while bonding with him and having many crazy adventures. Koro-sensei is the highlight of the show for sure with how nigh-omnipotent he seems to be, and he's such a delight and enigma to watch. Each student has his or her own quirk, and while I do wish they were generally expanded upon more (like having 3 seasons instead of 2 - one for each semester - would've been great in giving enough time for each character), I really enjoyed them all, especially Karma and Nagisa. While Karma and Koro-sensei are very notable characters to me, Nagisa stood out as my personal favorite due to how unseemingly deadly he is under that androgynous persona. He's easily the most interesting to me, and for whatever reason I resonated with him most.
Overall, every episode is one I'm willing to just put on during a lazy Saturday afternoon (and I say that positively due to what I said earlier about each episode being really solid). Well, all of them except the last few. Koro-sensei's past touched me, but that penultimate episode in particular is easily the most emotional thing I've ever witnessed in television, as this is the only show so far to make me truly cry. That ending secured this show as one I'll always remember despite the issues I have; not as the objectively greatest or most interesting, but rather one that left a uniquely unforgettable impact such that I'll remember it with fond bittersweet memories.
Favorite Episode: Graduation Time, followed closely by Past Time (which also got me emotional though of course not nearly as much as S2E24)
