I never thought this season elevated in quality passed the (very good) pilot but it’s got enough entertaining sequences and performances to keep things compelling. It’s always at its best when it’s about the team. Every actor gets their time to shine (Quincy Isaiah is an All Timer casting choice as Magic Johnson) and though the show treads water in a few episodes, the ending is satisfying.
