This show just isn't for me I fear, it feels like it would be more enjoyable for girls who grew up on Wattpad. The usage of tropes runs rampant and the story is very cliché. The two leads are terrible messed up people but it seems like the show kind of wants us to buy into this idea that it’s worth it because they create awesome music? And the rest of the cast is pretty underdeveloped although there are attempts made. The future confessional tapes are sometimes amusing but usually corny. However, the best part of the show is Nabiyah Be's Simone, she lights up every scene she's in and her subplot deserves to be the whole show.
