the brother seems to be a figment of Danny’s imagination and he was the one actually being abused by the father. He would pretend that his brother was saving him and that he would be the one watching from the outside like it wasn’t happening to him cuz that was his way of coping with the trauma. It was his escape. That’s why Danny said he was my savior everytime. Rya is basically trying to get him to realize that all of these people like Ariana and yitsak might be part of his imagination and that he really was just a victim of sexual abuse from his step father and he tried to shoot him. But his memory is different and fogged because of the trauma he’s making up all these things in his head about it. I think that’s where it’s headed because Danny’s memories are kinda foggy and starting to not add up
