i hate Chuck <3 and i don't see why Dan even started "defending" him, it wasn't like he already was fighting or smth and as a writer I can say that Dan is really shitty one (even if beginner who's story UNEXPECTEDLY and totally randomly appeared in NYT) because he literally incapable of writing a somehow deep character using imagination?? he knows Chuck and he knows abt his daddy issues so it really not that hard to make up a story around it i can understand Serena though but im too empathetic for Blair's insecurity which comes from her lifelong mommy issues
