This is the first ever anime that I've watched the entirety of the series with the original Japanese audio & with English Subtitles as I usually watch the English Dubbed version of anime. I was honestly impressed at the growth with Hitomi and Toshi as characters and as rivals/lovers. This was a truly enjoyable caper with some thrilling over the top action parts, witty banter, and surprisingly excellent romance. Along with the Inuari Police Chief and Asatani, who work together with Toshi to catch the thieves known as Cat's Eye, Hitomi's sisters Rui and Ai also get a chance to shine. Unbeknownst to them, Rui, Hitomi, and Ai are Cat's Eye & are stealing paintings and artifacts in an effort to draw attention in order to locate their father Heinz. The show maintains its silly humor while also moving the plot along with action and romance in each episode. It's a shame that the anime concluded long before the manga did & thus was unable to adapt the actual ending to the series. However, the anime's ending was pretty enjoyable as well & gives us a playful what if Toshi figured out that Hitomi was Cat's Eye and that the series ends with another call to catch Cat's Eye showing that it's an ongoing adventure for everyone.
