Am I alone in thinking this season felt almost like it was a joke? Episodes 3 and 4 were genuinely amazing, but beyond that it feels like no effort went into the season in terms of writing. Some of the choices and the pacing were so shockingly bad that they could be played off as gags by the writers. Season 3 set up a slam dunk of a final season, and it really could’ve been if the entire season had revolved around Barry in prison with the events of episode 4 being the ending. Unfortunately, the writers opted to go for maximum shock value resulting in a somewhat fun but ultimately pointless and parasitic final season that just undoes all the great plot points and developments of the prior seasons. Like with the ending, 5/10 for enjoyment but actual story quality 😬 Best Episodes: 1. it takes a psycho 2. you’re charming 3. wow 4. tricky legacies 5. the bestest place on earth
