Probably needed to be a movie as there are times when it can feel stretched to meet the six episode run count; but this is a powerful work from Mosley's source material and having him work on the series gives it a sense of credibility and authenticity that many adaptions lack. Maybe the best performance in Samuel L. Jackson's career; Dominique Fishback is a star - and it's a joy seeing Jackson and Walton Goggins reunited again.
