Olsen is in fine form, and I love the small-town costume design, but a lot of this is just flat. Just enough interest is generated to move along the show so one that doesn’t know the case (me) will keep watching, but it’s rote and almost obligatory in how the series is directed. Unfortunate, but maybe true crime fans are more the audience.
