I finished my first year of college a little over a week ago and during this time all I've felt is a strange mix of emotions. Happiness because I finally get a break after academic burnout and I achieved my gpa goal. Sadness over the realization of how quickly time has passed by and thinking of things I wish I'd done. Loneliness now that all my friends have gone back home for the summer, have permanently moved away to go to their respective universities, or are occupied raising their kids. Uncertainty because even before the school year ended, I'd been searching for a job and I've yet to find one. Fear at how quickly actual adulthood is approaching. Through it all, rewatching Friends has given me a sense of comfort—a warm feeling I didn't even know I needed. It just reminds me of when I would cuddle up with my mom every night to watch reruns when I was a kid. I don't know what's in store for my future, but I hope to remain positive and when I need a little pick me up, I know Friends is there to give me a laugh.
