this is a sitcom to me <3 this show is trying its hardest to be dramatic but i just can’t follow like they want to me to. for starters what kind of maniacs are scott and stiles that they hear there’s a dead woman chopped in two halves in the woods and they automatically think, “yeah i have to go see this one for myself.” insane, me thinks. but stiles just being the adhd bff who’s sometimes reasonable but mostly aloof is a favorite trope of mine. also, allison has a very girl-ish vibe about her that’s sweet and so girl-next-door which is nice until we’re introduced to the fact that the town’s big sport is LACROSSE??? i have to know if americans made this show now. okay if we’re crossing out football whatever… but there are other sports!!! like tennis or whatever. anyway, there were other options. but can we talk about how scott works at an animal clinic and closed up shop alone as a 16/17-year-old??? is that allowed??? i have no idea. jackson accusing scott of taking steroids after he caught five goals total in his entire lacrosse career; help i laughed. derek hale is supposed to be soooo mysterious but i bet he’s just some guy who’s intensely awkward and doesn’t know how to handle being in his early 20s so he has to befriend a bunch of teenagers, yeah. maybe throw in a sad backstory to finish him off.
