Continuing on from Season 1, we follow the Garveys to Miracle, Texas, where they hope for a safety and a new start.
This season throws its audience around constantly, dunking them a bathtub full of water, stripping them of everything, giving them both hope and despair for the family throughout the season.
Even the lesser rated episodes of the series are essential to the plot and the incredible storyline, and have purpose in the ultimate reunion of our first season characters, who are scattered and shattered entirely, as are the viewers watching.
This season is perfectly cyclic, perfectly ended and perfectly performed, with Justin Theroux, Ann Dowd, and Christopher Eccleston’s characters stealing the spotlight, along with, genuinely, every other actor, especially those playing the Murphys, Carrie Coon of course, and Liv Tyler, giving an exceptional performance as Meg, especially in the later half of the show.
This show is so beautifully written, so powerfully directed and so striking shot that it is a must-watch, indefinitely, for anyone. Absolutely anyone.
I’m excited to delve into Season 3, especially after this finale. From one human being to another, please watch. There are SO many incredible metaphors that make you question everything, absolutely everything in your life, making you feel like you’re in zero gravity, before slamming you back down into a beautiful bed of flowers, back in the real world. That, is how this show feels.
