An incredibly fun ride. As the ????? that it is (don’t remember it being said, let’s say documentary), it tends to have a very focused view on the group. The most developed characters are Daisy and Billy naturally. Everything surrounding them is pretty great. 

Outside of them comes Camila, Karen, Simone, Graham, Eddie and Warren. Camila is a very interesting character and her point of view kind exists away from the story. Karen is brought in and given these mini arcs that only really expand when her relationship with Graham progresses. Simone is great but her arc is damn near a spin-off. Graham is there. Eddie is kinda there unless he’s needed and Warren was just present. It’s not enough. 

The performances gave this a heavy sense of realism and drew me in very easily. But when the writing behind is both leisurely and light it’s hard for me to really connect. A ten episode limited series is already a stretch but it easily could’ve been more. This was way too much show stuffed in one. I got the book so I’ll read it and see what changed later because my head hurts but ugh…pacing is so important
