let me start off by saying i COULD NOT CARE LESS about alina and her whole storyline like i just want to watch the crows and the amount of screentime they have is criminal like i want justice for them like i only watched this for ben barnes and he was hot but weird like what were those scars idk but he still slayed i love him and the only interesting part of alina’s storyline was mal being the firebird like WHAT major plot twist and like i was gagged i must admit (malo malo pa mala nema) and also nikolai was cute not gonna lie like he spiced it up a bit. anyway the crows were fun but their storyline was so messy we were literally ROBBED. wylan and jesper are adorable but it was so rushed and all we got were crumbs tbh and KAZ AND INEJ need to hurry up bc that is literally the slowest burn i have ever seen but also the angst is so good and that final scene between them was literally everything i love the slow burn honestly but also i can’t wait til season 3 for them like plsss the crumbs we need more screentime and the mathias storyline was also messy like it was kinda lost on me they were not giving it enough attention hopefully because they’re saving it for season 3 but like idk we want more i liked nina in this season she was kinda insufferable in season 1 but now she’s cool and idk the best episodes were 6 & 8 in my opinion i just wanted more from this show and i can’t wait to read the books bc everyone gets their own story as it should be like we need a crows spinoff PLS. watching this with my sister made it 1000000% because we pevati srpske pesme in the background that resonated with the plot and it made the viewing experience that much better so i would definitely recommend that. we also designated a part of belgrade to each of the characters: kaz = zemun, inej = altina, mal = cerak/ada/košutnjak (he is a member of crni cerak as well), darklings mom = dedinje, david = petlovo brdo/pančevo, alina = borča/vojvodina, mathias = nbgd blokovi, nina = vračar, jesper&wylin = tehnoart (jesper mašinac iz tehnoarta a wylan neki game designer. also wylin rakovica & jesper centar), genya = čačak/pančevo, zoya = surčin/žarkovo, darkling = konjarnik (kriminal), nikolai = bežanijska kosa.
