Breaking Bad season 4 is the perfect example of how a perfectly written villain can bring the show to new heights. Gus is the perfect villain. He’s menacing and calculating. He’s smart and ruthless when he wants to be. Walt and Jesse are also at their best here so far. I love seeing Jesse become more involved and branching away from just being Walt’s sidekick. Jesse’s dynamic with Gus was perfect. Walt adjusts to Skyler now knowing and they have to deal with a lot. The way Gus went out was awesome. The whole build up to the climax of the season was so damn perfect. Peak storytelling. This season was practically perfect and I heard that next season is even better so safe to say I’m in for some more peak television.
