Wonder Showzen is the epitome of late night high shows. It’s all over the place, edgy and willing to go the extra mile for a laugh, but it also feels like there’s more under the surface than what most shows aimed at stoners would suggest. It’s incredible how this show can have legitimate arguments toward clever satire while also featuring the dumbest of jokes. It’s crazy how little this show gets talked about despite its obvious influence on pop culture. This is Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, Billy on the Street, Nathan for You, John Mulaney and the Sack Lunch Bunch; but it features more edge and personality that separates it as the king of the bunch. There’s something more genuine with the style presented here. There are certain moments that feel like they could have really came from a kids show. Fantastic production design and incredibly awesome animation work that once again feels the grandfather of many modern YouTube animators.
