It has the DNA of what the show would become, the silliness, the genuine journalism, the stupid, but funny banter, but it’s rather modest and lower key in comparison. The show is clearly not at the level it would be, and therefore the budget reflects that, and when it comes to Jason Dawe, the show just isn’t fully formed. While he’s informative and tries to work with Clarkson and Hammond’s chemistry, he just isn’t blending with the show that the other two are doing. It’s fun, but it isn’t all quite there.
