Yep, I think I liked this more than Happy Valley. Not a lot in it, and maybe just having one season almost helps it in that regard, but the less humorous tones at time and the relation to the mining strikes was really enjoyable here. Morrissey was brilliant in this, couldn’t fault his performance one bit throughout, rarely found something he hasn’t done well in The big twist (who the undercover cop was) genuinely caught me off guard, not sure if that says more about me than the show but alas I genuinely loved that the whole time they were fixated on this being a case of attacking the miners and this political fight, when in reality he was just a weirdo with a crossbow The only bit I didn’t like was how they admitted it was them (texting to donate) it felt..cheap idk. Sam said it showed how careful she had to be but I didn’t see it like that, other than that though the show was really great and a brilliant limited series
