Forgot what a rollercoaster season 2 was. The first few episodes centered around the trial following the beach riot are arguably my favorite, managing to keep the stakes high even though we know Ross is practically untouchable. Next to that, this season gave us Dwight and Caroline which is probably one of the best relationships on this show <3 However, this season also marked the beginning of the end for me with Ross and Elizabeth sleeping with each other following Francis’s death and Elizabeth’s engagement (later marriage) to George. And the fact that Ross tries to make a million excuses for it too! Demelza really wasn’t taking his shit and rightfully so. I got to say, knowing how the rest of the show unfolds, the quality of the show started to slip a bit there. That doesn’t mean it’s not entertaining though. All in all, I’m really enjoying this rewatch so far.
