what’s the point of adapting a work of art into another medium if u don’t bother adjusting for the other medium? I do not understand the appeal or adapting a story that worked extraordinarily well in a video game, and then just copying it second by second. i don’t understand the mindset of fans who want a 1:1 adaption, why do u want this? do u disregard the video game medium? is ur that u just can’t (for whatever reason) fully connect to a story if it’s not a story with real physical actors? what could possibly make you ask for this if you’ve already enjoyed this story? absolutely none of the scenes from the video game hit anywhere near as hard as they did watching them in video game, there’s no interpretation done on behalf of both the director and the actor, just a weak copy
