Its a shame that im getting tired of doctor who, really starting to think it just ain’t for me no more which is sad to say since i still love the show. Im so bored of the pantheon arc already i thought it’d end after sutekh since you know he was the big bad reveal. I have no interest because they’re always hyped up and then defeated easily for GODS. 

I love Alan Cumming and he was good in this but he and the episode could’ve easily been way better. The plot was decent but really generic, the 4th wall breaking was missed potential to me like wow its finally addressing doctor who being fictional but it just gave us such an annoying scene with fans of the show and them dying suddenly and we’re meant to feel for them because “we’re just like them”. They survive of course because no one truly dies in this show. 

The episode is alright but at the same time im just struggling to care at this rate. Oh feel bad for this man because he lost someone, feel bad for her because she lost her son and feel bad for these people because they’re not real. Its all one note very two dimensional which is actually brought up attempting to be meta but it fails because its a case of trying to be clever and being like “oh we know this is weak writing but its fine because thats the point!” Just wish it was just written better so i can feel sympathetic to the characters and care for the plotline. An improvement over the last one. The effects were the best parts along ncuti and verada again. Next episode looks promising but hey.. said that last time didn’t i…
