To be honest I liked this episode. Not necessarily the whole episode, only the last 15 minutes. Keep in mind i gave the episode 4.5 based on much i enjoyed it and not on how good this episode was. I'm gonna start by what I liked from this episode.
I liked what they did with pointdexter. I'm glad they didn't ruin this character atleast(Until now). He's still scary and out for blood.
The party sequence was pretty cool too. That was some actual tension that we rarely see in this season between matt and Wilson Fisk.
"𝘐𝘧 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘝𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘢, 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦."
I feel like this was the first actual impactful line in this season, Delivered masterfully by Vincent D'Onofrio. He knows that it was vanessa who set him up. But he lets it go because vanessa is still the most important person in his life.
I do have some criticisms from this episode. I don't get why Heather is suddenly angry with Matt just because he asks if Fisk is his patient. Like what the fuck? Writers will make the characters do anything for the sake of the plot. Little to no chemistry between these two.
I also don't like the scene cuts that happened between matt and heather along with Fisk and vanessa. This way, the scene just loses it's impact.
"𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁, 𝗜 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂."
Matt Murdock has become an empty shell of his former self. He exists but doesn't live. Matt has not developed a single bit this season. His conversation with anyone is just either arguing with someone, disagreeing with someone or sharing information. I want the old matt back.
Also Disney, can you do something fucking Moderately unique? Stop copy pasting the season 3 finale.
