NOT FUNNY!!!!! DIDN’T LAUGH!!!! No, but seriously did not expect “Dead to Me” to take this direction at all. Not to say that the first two seasons were without emotion, but this one is such a huge punch to the gut. The mix of such a weighty, emotional topic (one of the protagonists being diagnosed with cancer) with the on-going fall out from murder should NOT work, but it miraculously does - in the best way. I can’t believe Christina Applegate filmed this at the same time that she was diagnosed with MS. I don’t know how she did it. It goes without saying, but Linda Cardellini really gives it her all this season too. Can’t tag on Serializd but #ICried.
