Damn, easily in my top 3 first seasons but im not sure where exactly, true detective and got are my two favs other than lost. This was excellent, the character work was insane, almost like 15 good characters were produced and given great arcs and backstories in these 25 episodes. Im in love with the format of the show that operated in a 50/50 fashion, exploring a character's backstory every time (lots of em got 2-3 eps) while also forwarding the island plot which was full of mysteries that im hyped to see unveil. The dynamics are great, stuff like mentor and student (locke and boone), man of science vs man of faith (jack and locke), romance (charlie/clair, kate/jack) and more.The cinematography is so beautiful with some of the most breathtaking shots in tv.The vibes and humour were on point (hurley and charlie), the cast has #1 oat potential and the pacing was always fast and full of action while also providing us with lots of themes and depth, no episode below a solid 4 stars imo.
