                 𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒘𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒂𝒈𝒆.

Even though the episode wasn’t moving that much until that last scene, it still was filled with  important and very beautiful moments. There are two moments in this episode that I particularly enjoyed: 

Firstly, the nightmare Thorfinn has in the beginning of the episode might be one of the most beautiful sequence of the anime so far, in terms of emotion and aesthetic. A really shifting atmosphere, from what seemed to be a beautiful memory of Thorfinn with his family, to a bloody and violent scene of their village being under attack and destroyed. All this sequence ending on Thors dying once again, just as he did in 1x4, by a bunch of arrows and under the scared and teary eyes of Thorfinn. This was already heartbreaking to see him die in 1x4, but the fact that it has been done once again in the same way in here was even more tragic. 
Also, seeing Ylva in Thorfinn’s nightmare, I hope we’ll get more of her character because I really liked her in the first episodes, and I think her character has great potential, I she will become a warrior too or something like that.

And secondly, the talk between Thorfinn and Askeladd next to the Roman ruins. I particularly liked when Askeladd explained that every inhabitant of Britannia (and it works for any other land) had to win over another nation to live there (the Roman Empire is the ancient nation in this case). But this is part of the endless circle of war and conquest, because now the nation that will win  over the latest inhabitant of England who won over the Romans, are the Vikings. By stating this, Askeladd make the spectator aware that the same thing will happen to the Vikings once they would have won England. This scene for me was a warning to the spectator, to make us understand and remember what happened to the Vikings in History, and so what will happen to most of the Vinland Saga characters.
