I'm kind of confused, tbh. Literally I liked so much about this episode (Sophie Nélisse and Melanie Lynskey deserve ALL THE AWARDS), but I fucking hate the "plot twist" with a burning passion. It doesn't feel like the rest of the season (or show) at all. My only hope is that there was so much in this episode implying or outright stating that Shauna is imagining/hallucinating a lot more than we, the viewer, realize. I actually really hope that's true and that the show leans into it, because it makes so much more sense than the "plot twist" being actual reality. I think the reason I feel so confused is because like 90% of this episode felt like an incredibly interesting, brilliantly portrayed insight into Shauna's mind that we haven't really seen from the show before... it's literally just that one stupid twist that takes the episode down for me. I genuinely feel like there's so much fantastic Shauna content here, and I sincerely hope that I end the season feeling like I have a little more context when it comes to a certain development in this episode. Idk. Ultimately, I still do think this is one of the most intentional shows I've watched in a long time, and I trust them to tell a good story. I do. ANYWAYS, MELANIE LYNSKEY IN THAT LAST SCENE OMGGGGGGGGFFFFF SHE IS EVERYTHING TRULY!!!!!!!
