there’s something about this that feels kind of… pointless? not in a bad way. but obviously due to the anthology type set up nothing is going to have a long term impact across seasons, and within their single season arcs characters rarely display any actual growth. it’s mostly just watching bad shit happen to rich people. it’s fun! it’s easy. entertaining while it’s there and doesn’t require the sort of long term commitment that other shows might. i’ll be happy to keep watching as long as they keep making it. i’d definitely love to see returning players from time to time too though, especially with long stretches of time between each. it would be interesting to see alexandra daddario and her rotten shit of a husband on an anniversary or something a few seasons down the line, that type of thing.
