        𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆

I love how the relationship between Ellie and Joel is developing slowly. They both care for each other way more than they say. You can see it in how Ellie looks at him for protection as a father figure, and how Joel is already taking that role really seriously. We precisely see that when Joel is shooting every zombie getting close to her when he is up there at in that house.
Also, I already noticed it on my first watch, but when Joel runs to the house, aiming to kill the shooter, he stops one second to look at the river which is the way they are supposed to take to leave. I believe that at this precise moment he thought about leaving on his own. And this might be at this moment that he decided that Ellie wasn’t just cargo anymore, she was family.

     𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒖𝒄𝒌 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒆.

I totally forgot about that ending so it was just as shocking to see as if it was a first watch. Sam’s death is just awful, and to know that Ellie really believed she healed him with her blood that easily broke my heart. And obviously the violent final act of Henry is just as terrible…

About Kathleen’s death, this was really satisfying to see since I despised her character. But the thing is that disliking antagonist is a complex concept I think. Cause the point of an antagonist isn’t to be liked in the first place. So I find it difficult sometimes to understand why I dislike an antagonist: is it because I just dislike their character and/or doesn’t connect at all with them, or is it because they are doing their job as antagonist perfectly which aimed in being disliked. But anyway, in Kathleen’s case I think it’s more that I absolutely don’t connect with her character, I simply don’t like her.
Also, about that young girl zombie who killed Kathleen, when I think about it, that could be one of the kids that used to played in the basement where Joel Ellie and so on were earlier in this episode…
