Star Wars dads taking kids leading an adventure is always neat … wait did he just try to pull out a Youngling slayer 9000 ? Suburban kids exploring galaxy wasn’t something I expected from the main New Republic series , children are fascinated by pirates so you know the gist it’s a basic tale for the usual hard lesson of growing up so much bad people but also some kindness , but it’s like one of those retellings of Peter Pan in another point of view , Captain Hook being a disillusioned madman never letting go of any sight of treasure for survival to cope for past trauma shown in the finale with Jod’s distaste of At Attin’s robotic system , Wendy and others realising the dangers in wonders to appreciate the preciousness of home yet also aware that things needed to be changed in At Attin , in fact the skeleton crew are one of the most heroic protagonists in the franchise , sometimes there are small people uninvolved in whatever wars going on in the stars who aren’t capable of actual combat (except epic Neel who gets kisses) and their instincts in good deeds make another step closer to harmony as the final shot shows a content Wim glazing upon a diplomatic tantive shuttle , in fact the people working on this series are really big nerds on in-universe vehicles , the power-costly impractical b-wings swooping in to quickly handle fights that the pilots know would be effective for just another day in the office , getting off-track so let’s end by talking about favourite character , as someone who would have a disadvantaged body and stamina than others , I love KB , that episode where we see how she didn’t take proper maintenance of herself just because fear of true colours of being weak might be seen by others , it was relatable and stressful to watch , even though she’s the least focused upon of the main cast she’s really empowering for how weak people could be girlbosses too
