"Nothing is so complicated, only thinking makes it so." I had an absolute blast with this final season of Vikings. It had the same sort of low points as some previous seasons, namely side plots/characters that are just incredibly boring (the whole witch stuff, for example) that just make me want the show to get back to the main plot, but that main plot is incredibly solid and enjoyable. Ivar is such a highlight here as we see him get a lot of character development done, Hvitserk is finally a great character after feeling like the most underutilised of the brothers, and the Rus stuff is actually very strong, especially compared to the random desert adventures from season 5. We see fitting ends for a lot of the cast, and a brilliant final few episodes in England - Alfred is so fantastic. Vikings really is pure bombastic fun, and I am glad I finally reached the end after starting over so many times since the first season first released. A real adventure with scope and scale that increases with every season. What a great ride.
