Full of laughs and tears, Choco Milk Shake is well worth the watch. While the initial premise may give you pause -- a cat and a dog coming back as humans, spending time with the person they lived with before -- it's very well-done and not at all awkward. The characters do act along those personality traits (the cat is loving, but on his own terms, standoffish at times and smug, but also very sweet. The dog follows his person around everywhere, smells things often, is very happy and smiley all the time), but they're very clearly human at the same time. With short, sweet episodes that you'll want tissues for, this will touch any animal-lover's heart, and give them solace that their pets don't resent them for anything, but instead, have unconditional love for them. At the same time, it's a soft romance that will have you rooting for the side couple and the main couple, and hoping for a happy ending (for those concerned, yes, it is happy).
