A much calmer episode, but still really well done. After all the chaos from the last few episodes, this slower pace felt needed ngl. It gave us time to breathe and really take in everything that’s happened. There were so many beautiful scenes in this episode. Seeing some moments from Eren and Mikasa’s childhood again was a really nice touch, it reminded me how far these characters have come. The contrast between those innocent moments and everything they’ve been through now made it pretty cool. And finally… we got to know what’s inside the basement. It’s actually crazy to think about, there are people living outside the walls, an entire world beyond everything we’ve known in AoT. That reveal literally changes everything, and I can’t wait to see how they handle it moving forward. Beautiful and a needed slowe paced episode but still the worst RTS episode.
