Not quite on the level of season one in my opinion, but still amazing. This season gave me one of my new favorite episodes of TV, that being episode 7. In the very first episode you could see the improvement in the production quality from last season (which was already really good) and it was absolutely phenomenal. Speaking on a technical level, this is hands down one of the best shows I’ve ever witnessed. Every little detail is just executed to perfection. You can really see the love that has gone into making this and it’s wonderful.
I’d say the strongest part of this season was the character development. They really emphasized on the differences between the innies and outies and how they’re practically two separate people, which I thought was a really important point to get across and I think they showed that in a lot of good ways. They balanced out the progression for each character really well, and I guess my one main complaint would be that, sadly there wasn’t enough Irving 😞
Overall, another great season of Severance and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for season 3. It will be a war crime if this doesn’t at least win multiple Emmy’s, I really just want it to sweep. Losing weekly episodes for this and Invincible just hurts too much right now.
Top 3 Episodes: Ep. 7, 4, and 10.
I don’t know if I’ll ever shut up about episode 7.
If you actually read all this, thank you for listening to me yap and using your precious time to read my review. Stay blessed 🙏🏼.
