The Wire (2002)
9.5/10 The Wire is definitely the most unique show of all time, its concept, points of views and storylines have so much depth, so many angles yet everything is connected to everything else in some way. The characters (mostly) are all so amazing in their own ways. Each and every season is its own straight forward storyline sometimes with a rough and slow beginning which hits a climax at the penultimate episode after so much build up. No matter what your thoughts are on each and every season, the last few episodes are ALWAYS incredible and NEVER disappoint. My only complaint about this show is its politics of season 3-5 and the Newspaper arc in season 5. When it comes to the street stuff, the detail, the wiretaps, the home lives and all the other random stuff , this show is probably the best on TV but the politics and newspaper arc really does affect the enjoyment because sometimes you'll be watching and thinking, "This is some really boring bullshit that I don't even care about, when do we get back to the detail or the streets?? I can't bare watching this Carcetti or Royce or Clay Davis or any of these Newspaper mfers anymore", but I guess that's my singular complaint of this incredible nearly perfect show and the only thing that holds it back from being on the same level as "The Sopranos" which is THE greatest show no doubt.
