Severance does finales like no other show. I just wish they could sustain the ongoing narrative as well. The character work was exceptional this year - every single character had an incredible journey full of unexpected but understandable twists. The themes of distrust and the value of innie lives were played beautifully, and most of the scenes inside the office were brilliantly done. I just wish they weren’t so obsessed with the weird overarching lore. All the real world stuff feels so intense, like they’ve built the world too big. I hope next year they go back to focusing on the severed floor and dropping at least the outside world stuff that doesn’t focus on our main characters , it’s too much for this show to handle. But again. That finale. A*.
