7.9/10
A definite step up from the last episode, with a crazy reveal about the previous cliffhanger and some of the best Mahone content yet. His descent into rock bottom was both fascinating and unsettling, especially considering how unhinged he already was in Season 2. His hallucinations—particularly of you-know-who and his dreams of Holland—were an incredible touch. The way his mind is twisting reality makes him an even bigger wildcard in Sona, and Michael’s escape just got a lot more complicated because of it.
Bellick getting his karma for trying to snitch was another highlight, and Michael’s slow but steady rise in Sona’s ranks is keeping things interesting.
T-Bag, as always, continues to be a disgustingly compelling character. Every time he’s on screen, he finds a new way to be slimy, and this episode was no exception. He’s such a great antagonist because even when he’s not the main threat, he still makes every scene he’s in uncomfortable.
