i know this show has a ton of mixed reviews throughout all the seasons but i genuinely think it’s a show that needed to be made with stories that needed to be told. it’s not perfect by any means, it’s messy, it’s painful, it’s disturbing, it’s disappointing, but at the same time it’s powerful and beautiful. the cast is amazing and every scene is well acted. the characters struggle in ways that many shows don’t have the courage to touch on or bring attention to. i’m overwhelmed with emotion from this last episode and i’m so sad that i can’t watch another episode and see more of the story even if it fell flat the last couple of seasons. i loved this show so much and it’s probably the quickest i’ve ever finished a series - literally in a month. i’m so heartbroken but so grateful to have finally clicked play on a show i’ve been resisting for years. <33
