7.3/10. A lot better than I was expecting. Was it the worst season in the show so far? Yes but this season still had a lot going for it. I loved Omar's journey, it almost felt like Kenny Wangler all over again, whether or not these people in prison ever truly change is such an interesting topic and theme that I think is explored well in the show. I like the whole premise of repeated storylines and scenarios but with different outcomes, kinda like the wire. Lowkey felt bad for Omar at the end. I really liked Cyril and Ryan's storyline, such a sad story. Augustus and Burr dynamic was really good as well as Kareem and his battle with his demons. The issues in this season were a lot to do with the religious stuff in the first half. Although it was pretty funny I thought it took a bit away from the realism and grittiness of the show which I wasn't a huge fan of. At the start of the season I was sceptical with the whole Alvarez plot line. How many times can one guy get shanked lol, but his storyline actually turned out to be really good with the dog and him helping Revera. It's a shame that he had to ruin any chance of parole by attacking the guy on the parole board, but then that bought up the question of whether or not Alvarez truly had changed and would benefit society. I thought this season also lacked the amazing tension building of previous seasons. All tensions weren't really exploited and felt dull. Aryan / Muslim and sicilian / Latino beef could have developed to be a lot more interesting, that being said Latino and Redding beef was good and lead to a great conclusion. Felt bad for Augustus who was such a great character this season. Also was a relief to see Robson get a taste of his own medicine, I was praying on his downfall and when it came it was satisfying. T 3 episodes 1. Impotence 2. Visitations 3. wheels of fortune T3 characters 1. Ryan O'reily 2. Augustus Hill 3. Omar White
