100/100 A day later I still haven’t even remotely recovered from that generational finale. First I’ll start off with the characters, the protagonist Kendall Roy, absolutely goated and one of the greatest ever just behind Elliot, Succession probably has the greatest cast in TV and film history, every actor had their own beautiful moment and I loved it. Shiv and Roman are so good and their actors aswell even some of the side characters like Tom, Greg, Gerri, Frank I really cared for them and that is a big part of why the show is so good, it builds this array of characters for the show and just goes on with it. Succession is the only show except Happy Valley where every single season is a 5 star without a doubt and the finales my god, absolutely heartbreaking gut wrenching finales to watch, they literally metaphorically build up a heart and at the end they throw it away without remorse. Another thing that made this show is how raw and real it feels, first sign is of the unusually complex story to follow, in season 1 I had a bit of a hard time understanding what’s happening but when you get it it’s a gold mine and the story just keeps unfolding at your command. Another aspect of the realism are the actors, especially Kendall, the writers put together an amazing story but also include scenes hard to portray for the actors and because they are so supreme to literally any other, it makes the scenes even more emotional and raw as I said. I saw some people comparing this show to like the Sopranos or something else, and I simply say huh? Comparing this show to the Sopranos is a death sentence and if you think The Sopranos are better you didn’t get this show and how good it is. That’s all I have to say I guess just that it’s a masterpiece in writing, acting and directing and it has moments where you laughed and cried and everything you want in a show it’s perfect.
