i'm pleasantly surprised by this. even though the premise isn't particularly original, i really liked the editing and the constant twists throughout the story. the acting was solid, too. my main criticism so far is that i expected a more impactful season finale (which is ironic, given how i praised the twists earlier in this review). another thing is that, although the series critiques the american way of life, wealth distribution, and so on, it still leans heavily on the idea that every action stems from some past trauma (which is, again, very american-- "what's bothering you? let's talk about it."). overall, i'm genuinely curious to see how the story unfolds from here because there's a strong foundation.
