the juxtaposition of tones, music, cheesiness; worked 90% but the one that i can't really give a pass to was the contemporary music when its set in the 60s?
having read HPL's work couple months prior, it's nice seeing how it integrates his work in a brilliant way while also tackling the underlying issues people like HPL has... like i knew of the racism, i didn't know it was THIS bad.
regarding the tone, vibe, people and creature; it's beautiful... and ill leave it at that.
about the talent, despite the reality we live in and of Jonathan Majors' horrible acts, he's a charismatic actor alongside his co-stars.
but all being written, i'm on board for the season and while it sucks ass season 2's cancelled, if it's similar for the rest of episodes, it may be one of my favs!
